He is represented by HAZE Gallery Berlin. In December 2021 he mounted his first solo exhibition, with the artwork DESMEDIR at Haze Gallery. He has participated in the group show PERSONA, at Holy Art Gallery in London – UK (April; 2021); in the group show "Garden of Colourful Mists"; in Haze Gallery Berlin with the work VoDMA - Von der Mitte Aus "Desde el medio" in Spanish (May; 2021); he has been selected, promoted and exhibited in Arte en la Red de Casa América Madrid – Spain (June; 2021); is co-author in the book of young creators and emerging artists FLAMANTES (July; 2021), edition number 22; has been published by BlueBee magazine in London in edition number 7; has participated in the group show Fluorescent of Capital Culture House, Madrid (September; 2021); and co-author in Power of Color; artbook by Bruxelles Art Vue (December; 2021). 

Mathias Escotto Gadea (pseudonym, acronym MASCOGA) is a Uruguayan photographer and multidisciplinary visual artist based in Berlin, Germany. He studied at the Instituto Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes of the University of the Republic (UDELAR) and at the Escuela Museo Joaquín Torres García in Montevideo. He studied photography at the Centro de Fotografía de Montevideo (CdF) and at the Foto Club del Uruguay. He has studied at the Berlin Association of Visual Artists (bbk-Berlin) and is a graduate of the University of Burgos in Art Exhibition and Curatorship.

He holds a Master's degree in Human Sciences with a focus on Latin American Studies from the Faculty of Humanities of the University of the Republic (UDELAR) in Uruguay; a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Faculty of Law of the UDELAR; a postgraduate degree in Regional Integration from the UDELAR; and a postgraduate degree in International Cooperation for International Development from the UDELAR; He holds a postgraduate degree in International Cooperation for Development from the Complutense University of Madrid; a postgraduate degree in Migration, Mobility and Interculturality from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO - Argentina); and a Diploma on Leadership and Sustainability from the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB). He is an expert in International Cooperation and between 2008 - 2019 he worked as an expert in international development cooperation for international and national organizations.
